Emily Calimlim is a picture book illustrator currently living from everywhere. She, her husband, and their 16 year old grumpy cat live in an Airstream Flying Cloud. Originally from Texas, they've wandered as far north as Washington and the Dakotas, from the Pacific to the Atlantic coast, always searching for new mountains to climb.
Emily's illustration encourages slowing down to observe the lives of the littlest members of nature. Observing their struggles in ourselves as we navigate through family, community, and the larger global ecology. Emily hopes that having empathy for birds can grow into empathy for all.
Her content is rooted in environmental conservation, ecology, and a deep passion for the wild. Some of her services include children's and picture book illustration, pet portraits, and custom commissions.
