I'm all about the birds...

Hi. I'm Emily Calimlim currently living from everywhere. My husband, myself, and our 16 year old grumpy cat live in our Airstream Flying Cloud. Originally from Texas, we've wandered as far north as Washington and the Dakotas, from the Pacific to the Atlantic coast, and always searching for new mountains to climb. 

 

I want to use my illustration to encourage slowing down to observe the lives of the littlest members of nature and recognizing their struggles in ourselves as we navigate through family, community, and the larger global ecology. I believe it is important to bridge the gap between science and community to foster curiosity about the natural world. I hope that having empathy for birds can grow into empathy for all.
